Our family is committed to helping raise funds for and supporting epilepsy and SUDEP awareness, research and education in our community and beyond.
Jax had his first seizure at 2 years old and was diagnosed with epilepsy at age 4. He had tonic clonic (grand mal) and atonic (drop) seizures off and on for 6 years. On May 8, 2020 at 8 years old, Jax passed away from SUDEP (Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy). We had never heard of SUDEP before then and until that happened, we really had no idea that epilepsy could take him from us.
Jax loved with his whole heart and expressed that love to everyone he met with his huge smile and his huge hugs.
Jax’s 8 years of life had a huge impact on all those who knew and loved him because of how much he loved. Our family feels that we can honor him and help his legacy of love live on by raising funds for and supporting epilepsy and SUDEP awareness, research and education.
Jax is our WHY! We’re doing what we’re doing in hopes that other families won’t have to experience the kind of loss we have.
